Web Dashboard: Set User Permissions

To create users for your account, read this article.

Managing your users' permissions allows you to limit their access to company data.  For example, you can allow specific team members to view all invoices/estimates, and restrict other team members so they only see the invoices/estimates that they have created.

 

1.  From the Manage Account Website, select Settings from the left navigation.

2.  Select Users from the Settings menu.

3.  On the Users page, click on the key icon next to the user whose permissions you wish to change.

4.  Set the permissions.  There are 11 permissions you can control:

1Create Estimates:  When checked, this permission allows the user to create estimates.

2.  Delete Documents: When checked, this permission allows the user to delete invoices & estimates.

3.  Edit Documents:  When checked, this permission allows the user edit invoices & estimates.

4.  Edit Email Recipients:  When checked, this permission allows the user edit an email address on outgoing emails, or to send to a different email address.

5.  Send Documents:  When checked, this permission allows the user to email invoices & estimates to your customers from our web site or from their mobile device.

6.  View Reports:  When checked, this permission allows the user to run reports from the Web Dashboard.  We do not recommending giving your users this permission.

7.  Create/Update Items:  When checked, this permission allows the user create and/or edit products and services.

8.  Delete Payments:  When checked, this permission allows the user to delete payments from invoices.  We do not recommend giving your user this permission.

9.  Edit Email Message: When checked, this permission allows the user to edit the outgoing email message to your customer when sending an invoice or estimate.

10.  Export Documents:  When checked, this permission allows the user to export any data from InvoiceASAP, including your invoices, estimates and customer list.  We do not recommend giving your user this permission.

11. View All Documents:  When checked, this permission allows the user view everyone's invoices & estimates.

4.  If you have a question about a permission, click on the question mark in a circle to display a brief description of what that permission does.

5.  Click Update User to save the permissions.

6.  Have your user log out of InvoiceASAP and log back in again to get the new permissions from our cloud.
